"For me, CVAIA focuses on a philosophy reversal from what we are brought up to believe of being able to do whatever you want full-time and not have to worry about the pay. This is something I think not many people believe in, but the association shows why it's possible." --CVAIA Member
A philosophy said to find its roots in quantum physics, the Law of Attraction deals with thoughts attracting reality. The law finds its explanation in a four step process:
1. Know what you want.
2. Ask the universe for it.
3. Feel and behave as if the object of your desire is on its way.
4. Be open to receiving it.
CVAIA members use this philosophy when pursuing investment strategies.
"I can't number the times when I was wanting something to go a certain way and I was visioning it and it happened exactly how I visioned it, or, and usually more importantly, it happened not how I visioned it, but better. Often, something looks like it is failing and if you vision it long enough or more focused, something better will turn up. Call it faith, confidence, trust, or hope, I don't care...I just know
it works." --CVAIA Member
"The law of attraction has more than anything helped me realize that what you think is what you get. If you sit down and think that a meeting is going to go well, it probably will go well. If you're worried about it and nervous and tell yourself it's going to go badly, it probably will go badly. It's more than positive thinking; it's putting your cognitive in a place where it reinforces your purpose, and by doing so you're mentally open to and ready for whatever it is you wanted." --CVAIA Member
There is no limit to the amount you can gain during your life. Many companies, organizations, and people believe if someone or something is gaining then others in the same industry must be losing. This is called game theory or a zero sum game. CVAIA's members believe in the law of abundance which states there is no limit to the amount of goals an individual can achieve. If someone is winning, it means there is a chance for a "competing" person to win as well. CVAIA works to create a "win" opportunity for everyone. If we focus on doing our best in succeeding, we have a better more efficient outcome, than if we are focusing on winning and someone
else losing.
"The law of abundance has taught me that there is plenty of opportunity, and too look around common excuses. In general, we can all get what we need and want when we work together toward our goals." --CVAIA Member
By exchanging the investment resources that we all have (time, assets, and experience) we are helping each other achieve investment goals. The law of exchange states if someone gives something of value, they will benefit from receiving something of value in return. This value can be money, items, the good feeling, among other things. People like to provide value to others and receive something in return. They tends to want to be around those who know and understand how to exchange value.
"Learning the law of exchange, or, the philosophy of exchange, has greatly improved my working relationships. Instead of assuming favours and being uncomfortable with an associate or potential associate, I can work with the person, discuss options, make sure we both are satisfied with what we are recieving in our exchange, whatever that exchange may be. Ensuring that both sides are happy with the exchange increases the value and clarity of the relationship for both people." --CVAIA Member
